不少人小时候都玩过“漂石”,或者叫“打水漂”:在小河旁或池塘边,将一块薄石片贴着水面用力抛出,石片便在水面上不断跳跃着向远处冲去,直至最后沉入水中。虽然经常也有“比赛”场面,但毕竟是孩子们的嬉戏,大人多不屑一顾。其实,“打水漂”是一种很有趣的体育项目,其真实名称就是“漂石运动”。在美国密执安州麦基诺岛每年都举办一次漂石锦标赛,作为世界大事,它被载入《吉尼斯世界记录大全》中,成绩得到世界公认。目前漂石的世界记录是24次,(即漂石在水面上跳跃24下,)由三个竞争者共同保持。参加比赛的唯一限制
