Ferguson医院从1977年开始采用化学淋巴结消除(Chemical lymphnode clearance)法进行结直肠癌标本的准备,以利于淋巴结(LN)的评估,此法是清除标本上的血迹和碎渣,用福尔马林浸泡1夜,再用丙酮或99%酒精脱水1～3天,然后经冬青油或香柏油浸泡2～6小时去除系膜上的脂肪。该院还对1977～1982年在该院行结直肠癌手术的864例患者的流行病学、病理学存活率随访情况进行了回顾。根据病理特征,将Dukes分期法的C期癌又分为C1、C2两期,C1期表
Ferguson Hospital has used the chemical lymphnode clearance method to prepare colorectal cancer specimens since 1977 to facilitate the assessment of lymph nodes (LN). This method removes blood and debris from specimens and uses formalin. Soak 1 night, and then dehydrate with acetone or 99% alcohol for 1 to 3 days, then soak in winter oil or cedar oil for 2 to 6 hours to remove the fat on the mesangial membrane. The hospital also reviewed the epidemiological and pathological survival rates of 864 patients who underwent colorectal cancer surgery at the hospital from 1977 to 1982. According to the pathological features, the Dukes staging C-stage cancer is divided into two phases: C1 and C2.
