《比较》杂志开过许多次企业家座谈会。新年前夕,中大集团董事长徐连国来京,请中央编译局副局长、《比较》杂志社社长顾锦屏同志,顾问王俊、刘秉炎同志和我叙谈,在座的还有振兴盐城北京咨询委员会副主任耿飞同志和著名竹笔书法家李国桢同志。人不多,自由谈,倒是一次很有意思的理论文化工作者、老同志和企业家的座谈会。徐连国出生于江苏省射阳县新洋乡,和刘秉炎同志是同乡。刘秉炎同志在编译局曾任秘书长,工作了40多年,被乡亲们誉为“老马列”。他回乡时听到乡亲们谈起徐连国的不平凡的经历,曾邀请他来参加1994年在上海南汇县召开的企业家座谈会。那次到会的是他父亲徐步俊。

On the eve of the New Year’s Eve, Xu Lianguo, chairman of Zonda Group, came to Beijing to invite Comrade Gu Jinping, deputy director of the Central Compilation Bureau, and director of the “Comparative” magazine, and comrades Wang Jun and Liu Bingyan to narrate with me. The seat of the revitalized Yancheng Beijing Advisory Committee was also deputy director. Comrade Ran Fei and famous bamboo pen calligrapher Li Guojun. Not many people, free talk, it touches on a very interesting forum of theoretical and cultural workers, veteran comrades and entrepreneurs. Xu Lianguo was born in Xinyang Town, Sheyang County, Jiangsu Province and is a fellow countryman with Comrade Liu Bingyan. Comrade Liu Bingyan once served as Secretary-General in the Compiling Bureau and worked for more than 40 years. He was hailed by the villagers as “Old Ma Lie.” When he returned to his hometown, he heard villagers talk about Xu Lianguo’s extraordinary experience. He had invited him to attend the entrepreneurship conference held in Nanhui County in 1994. The meeting was his father, Xu Bujun.
