我场位于浙江省中部、金巨盆地东南边缘。自从大跃进中办场以来,陆续发展了2200亩油茶林。其林地土壤为低丘红壤,PH值4.5—5.0左右,耕作层土壤活性有机质含量0.58％,全氮0.059％,全磷仅0.0038％;土壤酸度大,粘性重,贫瘠易旱,肥力低。但是,在毛主席革命路线指引下,经广大职工和干部的积极努力,精心培育管理,至1968年首批发展的650亩油茶已进入结果盛期;1963年第二批发展的1100亩也已开始结实。
