日本新一代计算机技术研究所(ICOT)准备向建造一台第五代计算机的目标作最后的冲刺。上周该所在东京召开了一次国际会议,在会议上他们介绍了七年来所取得的研究成果,并且公布了最后三年的奋斗计划。但是持不同意见者对于 ICOT 是否能实现其目标,甚至连其研究方向是否正确也感到怀疑。
Japan's new generation of Institute of Computer Technology (ICOT) is preparing to make the final sprint to the goal of building a fifth-generation computer. Last week the institute held an international conference in Tokyo, where they introduced the achievements made in the past seven years and announced plans for the last three years. But those who disagree are skeptical about whether ICOT can meet its goals, even if its research direction is correct.
