1996年6月1日,中国印刷博物馆落成典礼在京举行。国家主席江泽民为博物馆题写“中国印刷博物馆”馆名,国务院总理李鹏题词:“弘扬民族文化,振兴印刷工业。” 中共中央政治局委员、国务委员李铁映,全国人大常委会副委员长铁木尔·达瓦买提为中国印刷博物馆落成开馆揭幕并剪彩。新闻出版署署长于友先发表了祝贺讲话。文化部副部长艾青春,中国版协主席、中国印刷博物馆筹委会名誉主任宋木文,国家文物局局长张文彬,北京市委副书记欧阳文安,中宣部出版局局长高明光等有关领导同志以及世界印刷大会指委会主席杰弗里·威尔逊出席一落成开馆典礼。
June 1, 1996, China Printing Museum inaugurated in Beijing. State President Jiang Zemin wrote the museum name of China Printing Museum and State Council Premier Li Peng wrote: “Carrying forward national culture and rejuvenating the printing industry.” Li Tieying, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, member of the State Council, and member of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee, Dawamat opened the China Printing Museum and cut the ribbon. The Director General of Press and Publication issued a congratulatory speech. Ai Qingchun, vice minister of Ministry of Culture, chairman of China Edition, Song Muwen, honorary director of China Printing Museum Preparatory Committee, Zhang Wenbin, director of State Administration of Cultural Heritage, Ouyang Wen’an, deputy secretary of Beijing Municipal CPC Committee, Gao Mingguang, director of Publication Bureau of Central Propaganda Department, Jeffrey Wilson, chairman of the Assembly’s Finding Committee, attended the opening ceremony.
