去年五月底我应同济大学建筑系的邀请参加了该系建筑历史教研组的硕士答辩会,正好赶上上海市建筑学会理事长罗小未教授主持召开的上海市建筑创作实践与理论畅谈会。这是上海建筑界的一次盛会,到会的除上海市建筑界著名的专家教授和各大设计单位的院长和总建筑师外,还有兄弟院校的建筑专家和教授,共一百多人。上海市副市长倪天增和秘书长钱学中也参加了大会,并在会上作了极为鼓舞人心的报告。特别是副市长倪天增的讲话,平易近人、实事求是,热情中肯。他在讲话中没有引用一句马列主义字句,然而整篇报告却贯穿着马列主义原则,受到与会者的热烈欢迎。会上还宣读了三十余篇论文。其中有实践总结,也有理论探讨,特别是从实践总结出理论的论文很受欢迎。会场上学术探讨的气氛,自由活泼,畅所欲言,确已达到了“畅”的程度。这是我多次参加建筑创作会议中最受鼓舞、最难忘的一次会议。但是,另外有些建筑创作讨论会却开成了解答会(有点象老师开的答

However, the entire report was based on the principle of Marxism-Leninism and was warmly welcomed by the participants. More than thirty papers were also read at the meeting. There are practical summaries and theoretical discussions. In particular, papers that summarize theories from practice are very popular. The atmosphere of academic discussion at the venue was free, lively, and free to speak. It has indeed reached the level of “Chang”. This is the most inspired and most memorable meeting I have participated in in the architectural creation conference.
