Almost every year from the beginning of September to the second year of the Spring Festival is the sales season of notebook computers, and each selling season will be fueled by the proliferation of price wars. In previous years, Taiwanese manufacturers often played the protagonist of price wars. At the end of last year, Hengsheng launched the first domestic KINGNOTE laptop with a frequency of 14.1” and MMX233. Its price was as high as 48,000 yuan. By the beginning of this year, the price of KINGNOTE had fallen below 28,000 yuan. At the beginning of the new year, the price war in the Chinese notebook computer market began. After opening the curtain, Toshiba first announced a reduction in product prices across the board, followed by IBM, ACER, COMPAQ, and other manufacturers have announced price cuts, and Hengsheng has also hit the banner of “a fierce attack on China’s notebook computer market.” By March, Toshiba’s mainstream model 300CDT hit the market at a price of less than 20,000 yuan. IBM and ACER’s low-end machine prices dropped to 17,000 yuan and 11,000 yuan respectively. Everyone seems to be showing off their notebooks.
