The working meeting of the 15th CPC Central Committee and the 13th CPC Disarmament Work Conference were held in Beijing from December 28 to 29, 2000. Zhu Rongji, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and premier of the State Council, attended the meeting and delivered an important speech (separately issued). Wang Zhongyu, State Councilor, Secretary General of the State Council, and Secretary of the Work Committee of the Central Government, presided over the meeting. Jia Jun, deputy secretary of the Central Government Organization made a concluding remarks. Under the guidance of Comrade Jiang Zemin and the important thinking of the ’Three Represents,’ the conference summarized the party building in 2000, studied the deployment of the task of building the party in 2001 and set a good example for the “15th Five-Year Plan.”
