In my studies and academic career, several academic predecessors have given me a profound impact, Mr. Wang Jingyu is one of them. Though I am not a bachelor’s disciple, I have only had one chance to listen to his teachings in the nearly thirty years I have been with Wang. However, in my heart, I have always regarded Wang as a mentor. Now, when the memory valve slowly opened again, the past vividly, make me heart. I was the first to enter the Department of History of Xiamen University after my resumption of college entrance examination in 1977. After completing his undergraduate studies at the end of 1981, Mr. Chen Shikai, a teacher with the right course, studied modern Chinese economic history. In the summer of 1983, together with my classmate Ceng Shan, I went through Shanghai to visit the information in Beijing and followed the instructions
