站出来发表见解的事,戴锦华做得并不多,尤其是最近几年。原因之一是她向来“讨厌自我重复”,“厌倦学术上的自我复制再生产”——思想转折已在酝酿之中。从2000年,她开始“真的读书”。“真的读书”是因为真的困惑。“批判是否足够?是否可能?批判除了批判者自我感知到的意义以外,对社会是否真有意义?如果没有,那你的所谓的批判立场是否就是自我想象和自我满足?再说大一点,语言学转型后的结构主义和后结构主义和批判理论,以及我们‘五四’以来的批判传统,它的确提供批判的阐释和解构的力量,可是这之外,到底有没有建构的可能?有没有正面对抗历史的可能?有没有参与历史,而不仅仅是顺应历史的可能?”
