许多养花的人都喜欢培养几盆菊花。但如按常规养护管理,一般菊花的植株到开花时都比较高。要想使其矮化,就必须使用化学激素。笔者通过多次栽培实践,摸索出简单易行,管理时间短,而又不用化学激素培育矮化盆菊的经验。其方法如下:1.迟插常规家庭养菊,都在春季4—5月份进行扦插,其优点是此时气候适宜,温湿度都较理想,易成活,好管理。但其缺点是营养周期太长,到开花时植株较高,叶距长,易倒伏,影响欣赏。如不用化学激素很难达到矮化盆菊的目的。所以笔者采取迟插的方法来加以控制。在8月初扦插(北方可在7月20日左右),但此时天气高温、干燥,成活率较难保证。因此正确选苗和精心养护管理是关键。插条要选用生长健壮、无病虫害、半木质化、无明显侧芽的主枝。取7—8cm 长,去掉下部叶片。尽量随取随插,不可久放,以免叶片失水,扦插难以成活。2.浅插采用浅插填土法。此法的优点在于将菊苗插入盆底浅土中,即可避免高温、干燥环境的影响,提高成活率,降低其原始高度。当菊苗成活后,随其向上增长及时填土,其根系也随之不断向上发展,增强了养份的吸收功能,
