落落的童年是在这条街道13号的收养院里度过的。院长是位脸黄如蜡的中年女人,穿横条纹衬衣和灯芯绒裤子。头发整整齐齐地盘起来。她站在渡口等落落的时候,满脸慈祥。陌生人戴方形眼镜,素色长裤子上面粘满新鲜的泥土,他牵着落落从河那边的屋子里来,那间屋子里面有落落的新妈妈还有爸爸宠爱的新妹妹。陌生人将落落交给院长的时候,手臂颤抖了一下。年少的落落望着他,她看见夕阳下的这个男人是那样的颓败,那样的无能为力。男人迟疑了一会,然后突然回过神来,甩开落落的手,转身离开。
