加强高校公共外语听力教学,提高学生听说水平是我国对外开放走向深入,对外交往日益频繁的形势发展的需要。近年来,国家教委对加强高校公共外语听说教学越来越重视,在《大学英语教学大纲》中明确要求“大学英语教育应该使学生具有一定的听和译能力”。在大学公共英语考试中,听力所占比例也逐年增多。但是,由于各种主客观原因影响着高校学生听说水平的提高,出现了“英国人讲的英语学生听不懂,学生讲的英语英国人听不懂”的现象。本文试从分析影响学生听力水平提高的几个薄弱环节入手,对改进高校公共英语听力教学提些看法。
Strengthening the listening teaching of public English in colleges and universities and improving the level of students’ listening and speaking are the needs of the situation of our country opening to the outside world and the ever-increasing foreign exchange. In recent years, the State Education Commission has paid more and more attention to strengthening the listening and speaking of public English in colleges and universities. In the Syllabus for College English, it explicitly stipulates that “college English education should enable students to have certain listening and translating skills.” In the university public English examination, the proportion of hearing also increased year by year. However, due to various subjective and objective reasons that affect the improvement of college students’ listening and speaking level, the phenomenon of “English-speaking English students do not understand and English-speaking students do not understand English” appears. This article attempts to analyze some weak links that affect the improvement of students’ listening comprehension, and puts forward some suggestions to improve college English listening teaching.
