Titanium has many advantages over many commonly used electrochemical processes because of its physical and electrochemical properties. In recent years, titanium has been successfully used in industrial equipment. This article describes the electrochemical properties of titanium and discusses some of its applications. Titanium is widely used as a device and electrode for electrochemical processes, for example, as an anode material for the electrolysis of chlorine, chlorate and manganese dioxide. In addition, some new developments and other possible uses of titanium electrodes in the electrolytic production of metals are also discussed.
