This article discusses the scope, including the North Qilian Mountains and its northward Hexi Corridor. The Carboniferous strata in the area are developed. The upper, middle and lower three systems are all coal-bearing strata and are widely distributed from north to west. The structural systems that play an important controlling role in the formation and distribution of carboniferous coal-bearing formations include the ancient Hexi structural system, the anterior arc western fold belt of the Qilu Helan Mountain structural system, the Longxi rotational volume structural system, the Hexi Corridor and Regional east-west tectonic belts and local north-south tectonics distributed in the latitude 37 ° -38 °
