生活在社会上的每一个人,都有自己的姓名。无论是在中国还是在外国,姓都是先天的。我们汉族人大多随父姓,也有个别随母姓,它是人们出生之前就决定了的。名是出生后才起的。起名带有很大的随意性。汉族的人名体系主要有两大类,即小名和大名。小名又称乳名、土名,大名又称大号、别号、雅号和训名。汉族男子多数有两个名,即小名和大名,女子终生只叫一个名字的居多数。除小名大名以外,有的人还有笔名、艺名乃至绰号等,但这些人名形式多数不用于面称。姓名是社会公认的称呼人的符号或标志,人们正是因为有了姓名,才可能在社会交往中互相识别,互相称呼,所以,姓名的本质是社会的。
Everyone who lives in society has his own name. Surnames are innate whether in China or in foreign countries. Most of our Han people with their father’s surname, but also have their mother’s surname, it is people before the birth of the decision. Name is born after birth. Named with a lot of randomness. In addition to the nicknames, some people also have pen names, nicknames and even nicknames, but most of these forms of names are not used for facial expressions. Name is a socially accepted symbol or symbol of people. It is because people have the name that they can identify and call each other in social interaction. Therefore, the essence of the name is social.
