黔东南州紧紧围绕“加速发展、加快转型、推动跨越”主基调,突出实施“工业强州、城镇带州、旅游活州”三个战略重点,加快推进工业化、城镇化、农业现代化“三化同步”发展。奋力赶超、推动跨越,黔东南州在全省经济发展增比进位综合测评排位从2010年的第4位上升到2011年的第2位。炉碧经济开发区、丹寨金钟经济开发区、洛贯经济开发区、黔东经济开发区、台江经济开发区成为省级经济开发区,全州的省级开发区增加到了6个。州第九次党代会明确坚持走黔东南特色发展之路,提出建设富裕、秀美、魅力、和谐的美好黔东南的宏伟目标。
