苹果电脑公司更名为苹果公司,意味着其自2001年发布的打造数字客厅的商业战略从此名正言顺。只是如同竞争激烈的电脑市场一样,数字客厅之争同样残酷2007年1月9日,苹果电脑公司更名为苹果公司,此举揭开了苹果的崭新一页:消费电子产品融合成为其CEO史蒂夫·乔布斯新战略中的重点,而个人电脑产品将退居其次。的确,苹果的这一变化显示出公司已经从一家电脑产品生产商转变为一家消费电子产品公司。就在更名的同一天,苹果还推出了一款具有iPod音乐功能的iPhone手机,以及一种取名“Apple TV”(苹果电视)的电视机顶盒。
