皖玉４号系安徽省农科院作物研究所选育出的一个双高产组合。在１９９２～１９９３年两年安徽省区域试验和生产试验中，产量均名列各参试品种的首位，比对照种掖单２号增产１０％以上。该品种品质优良、适宜密植、丰产性好、抗性较强、适合我省春夏播种。在高产栽培措施下，亩产可达６５０ｋｇ左右。本省制种亩产量２００ｋｇ以上。１９９４车４月通过安徽省农作物品种审定委员会审定。
Wan Yu 4 Department of Crop Sciences, Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences bred a double high-yielding portfolio.
