本文从纵横双向角度阐述当今大学英语教学中的四个焦点问题:综合英语教学和听说教学;基础英语教学和文化教学;基础英语教学和专门用途英语教学;传统教学模式和以现代技术为基础的多媒体教学模式。笔者建议应结合各高校各个方面的实际情况,确保不同层次的学生在英语应用能力方面得到充分的训练和提高,从而使大学英语教学改革的成效落到实处。
This article expounds four focal points in today’s college English teaching from both vertical and horizontal perspectives: comprehensive English teaching and listening and speaking teaching; basic English teaching and cultural teaching; basic English teaching and specialized English teaching; traditional teaching mode and based on modern technology Multimedia teaching mode. The author suggests that all aspects of colleges and universities should be combined with the actual situation, to ensure that students at different levels in English ability to apply adequate training and improvement, so that the effectiveness of college English teaching reform implemented.
