Summary The Asahi-mura area is located in the southwestern part of Yamagata prefecture. As the northern foot of the Asahi-shan Mountains, the Asahikawa area was discovered from radioactive anomalies in the basal conglomerate of the Upper Tertiary strata in 1958, and geological surveys were conducted in the vicinity of the area. The area is composed of basaltic granites and the sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Upper Triassic that covered it. According to their occurrence and lithology, the granites can be divided into the following five types: Early Tian granodiorite, Hessian porphyrite quartz diorite, Tangzhize fine-grained quartz diorite, Tripartite granodiorite And mother hunting granodiorite.
