大渡口区跳磴镇位于重庆西南部,距重庆市中心30公里,幅员面积49.48平方公里,辖20个村、居委会,人口2.6万人,耕地2.7万亩。近年来,跳磴镇党委、政府在大渡口区委、区政府的正确领导下,认真践行“三个代表”重要思想,紧紧抓住重庆直辖和西部大开发的机遇,以公路建设为龙头,以结构调整为主线,大力推进水、电、通讯、天然气等基础设施建设和工业园区、特色农业示范园区及生态环境建设,镇域经济实现了快速发展,农民的生产条件和生活质量大幅度提高。目前,跳磴镇党委、政府正加紧推进纵贯境内的城市快速干道——华福大道的建设,规划建设五大功能片区,全力推进跳磴镇农业产业化和农村城市化进程。
