吴忠市第四中学始建于1988年,是一所全日制初级中学。学校占地面积40298平方米,建筑面积24105平方米。学校校园环境优美,硬件设施齐备,教室全部配有多媒体教学设备。学校现有教学班54个,在校学生3652人,教职工176人,其中高级教师41人、市级名师9人、各级骨干教师64人。学校文化氛围浓郁、办学特色突出、教学管理规范,是自治区“百标”学校之一。学校荣获国家“贯彻落实科学发展观,加强改进学校德育工作”先进集体荣誉称号和“第八届宋庆龄少年儿童发明大赛”二等
