人们学习语言的目的是为了交际,而不是为了显示他们可以记住各种各样的语法或语音规则。英语作为一种交际工具,必然要求英语教学的目的是培养学生使用这种交际工具的能力。现代英语教学要求用英语教英语,教师要用英语组织课堂教学,用英语处理教材内容,并且要求学生用英语参加课堂实践活动,用英语提问及回答问题,通过真实地听说训练听说能力。师生在课堂上都说英语,这已是英语课堂教学的显著特征和优秀课堂教学的重要标志之一。
The purpose of language learning is to communicate, not to show that they can memorize a variety of grammar or phonetic rules. As a communicative tool, English inevitably requires that the purpose of English teaching is to develop students’ abilities to use such communicative tools. Modern English teaching requires that English be taught in English. Teachers should organize classroom teaching in English, handle teaching materials in English, and require students to participate in classroom practice activities in English, ask questions and answer questions in English, and practice listening and speaking skills through listening and speaking. Teachers and students all speak English in class, which is one of the most important characteristics of English classroom teaching and an important symbol of excellent classroom teaching.
