某日,先生在课堂上津津乐道李白《送友人》“挥手自滋去,萧萧班马鸣”一联,并复念之:“萧萧,马鸣声。班马,离群之马。”既而,书声琅琅,盖体悟“班马”之精髓也。翌日,学生默写《送友人》,先生来回巡视,眼力所及之处,皆满纸荒唐言,“班马”言为“斑马”,目瞪口呆之余,先生问一学生,何为“班马”?生曰:“班马者,常生活在开阔的平原和稀树草原地带,有黑白相间的条纹, 使得它们的身体轮廓和周围的环境模糊起来从而得到保护。”先生气不可遏,拍案而问之,此课可谓是生物课乎?此“班马”是彼“斑马”乎?学生茫然不得其解,羞愧答之:“解铃还须系铃人!”
