日本日立金属公司开发了寿命比以往材料高2~6倍的高速钢YXR33,可应用于制造中温精密锻造及高温精密锻造模。由于中温精密锻造将钢材加热到650~900℃进行加工;高温锻造则将钢材加热到1200℃以上进行加工,模具的温度无论如何也会上升到650~700℃。以往的合金工具钢材料SKD7SKD8,SKD61等达到高温后,强度降低。因此,锻造3500~6000次后,模具表面将引起塑性变形,模具寿命缩短。另一方面,SKH51一类的高速钢韧性不太高。因此,使用初期,模具表面有裂纹,往往会引起破损。
Hitachi Metals Corporation has developed the YXR33, a high-speed steel with a life expectancy of two to six times that of conventional materials. It can be used in the manufacturing of medium-temperature precision forging and high-temperature precision forging dies.
