p16基因(CDKN2,MTS1)是新近发现的又一重要的抑癌基因,该基因编码的 P16蛋白对细胞生长起调控作用.研究表明许多恶性肿瘤中存在 p16基因的纯合性缺失或异常性甲基化,在胃癌中的缺失也有报道,但缺失率低且未发现突变.因此,我们对胃癌中 p16基因外显子1的甲基化状况及 P16蛋白表达进行研究,并与正常胃粘膜组织进行比较,旨在进一步探明胃癌中 p16基因是否以甲基化方式失活及P16蛋白表达在胃癌发生中的作用.
The p16 gene (CDKN2, MTS1) is another newly discovered tumor suppressor gene. The P16 protein encoded by this gene plays a regulatory role in cell growth. Studies have shown that there are p16 homozygous deletions or abnormalities in many malignant tumors. Basalization, the loss in gastric cancer has also been reported, but the deletion rate is low and no mutation was found. Therefore, we studied the methylation status of exon 1 of p16 gene and the expression of P16 protein in gastric cancer, and compared with normal gastric mucosa tissue. The purpose of the comparison is to further explore whether the p16 gene in gastric cancer is inactivated by methylation and the role of P16 protein expression in the development of gastric cancer.
