在弥尔顿的悲剧《斗士参孙》中,参孙是一位光明之子,隶属于一个以信仰为纽带的有机共同体,而他妻子大利拉则是黑暗之子,来自于一个以偶像崇拜为特征的腐败民族。具有讽刺意味的是,光明之子屡屡被黑暗之子所诱惑,而以色列人则长期被非利士人所奴役。共同体的有机性之所以被压抑,正是因为偶像崇拜者“甘受奴役”的心态,使其与上帝隔绝,切断了个体间的内在联结。参孙最终变成一个偶像破坏者,打破了各种形式的偶像崇拜,而他对上帝教义的激活也给共同体带来了生机。
In Milton’s tragedy “Gladiator Samson,” Samson is a bright son attached to a community of faith-linked organic, and his wife, Delilah, is the son of darkness, characteristic of idolatry Corrupt people. Ironically, the Son of Light is often tempted by the Son of Darkness, while Israelis have long been enslaved by the Philistines. The reason why the organic nature of the community is repressed is precisely because of the mental attitude of idolaters who are “enslaved” and cut off from God and cut off the internal bonds among individuals. Samson eventually turned into an idol saboteur, breaking all forms of idolatry, and his activation of God’s teachings brought vitality to the community.
