由中国科学院学部委员业治铮、汪品先教授主编的《南海晚第四纪古海洋学研究》一书于1992年12月中旬出版。 该书是国家自然科学基金项目“南海第四纪古海洋学事件比较研究及其应用”成果的一部分。该课题从1989年起,由地矿部海洋地质研究所,同济大学海洋地质系和中国科学院海洋研究所三单位合作共同承担的。 南海地形复杂,属于半封闭型边缘海。沉积物对海平面的洋流体制的变化反应灵敏,具有古海洋学研究得天独厚的条件。三个不同系统学术单位的三十多位科学工作者,发挥各自的特长,对南海陆坡、深海平原以及陆架、珊瑚礁共十余个钻孔或沉积柱状样进行研究,开展了有孔虫、介形虫、钙质超微化石和翼足类等四个门类的微体古生物定量分析,氧、碳稳定同位素分析,沉积物的粗组份分析,粗细两类粒级的粒度分析、化学分析和扫描电镜,偏光镜下的观察,矿物颗粒的电子探针能谱分析以及放射性与古地磁测年等测试分析项目,采用了古生态转换函数等数据处理技术,初步建成了一
The book “Late Quaternary paleoceanographic research in the South China Sea”, edited by Prof. Wang Zhengxian and edited by Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was published in mid-December 1992. The book is the National Natural Science Foundation project “South China Sea Quaternary paleoceanographic events comparative study and its application” part of the results. Since 1989, the project has been jointly undertaken by the Institute of Marine Geology, Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, Department of Marine Geology, Tongji University and the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. South China Sea topography is complex, are semi-enclosed edge of the sea. The sediments are sensitive to the changes of sea-level oceanic regimes and have unique conditions for paleoceanographic research. More than 30 scientists from three different system academic units have given full play to their respective specialties. They studied a total of more than 10 drilled or sedimentary columnar samples of the South China Sea, the deep-sea plain and the shelves and coral reefs.
