一、秣食豆的特征特性:秣食豆为豆科大豆属一年生草本植物。直根,根系发达。株高1.3米左右,最高达1.81米。茎初期直立,后期上部蔓生。植株密被黄色硬毛。叶互生,长柄,托叶披针形,小叶三片,大而肥厚,侧生的两个为斜卵圆形,顶端一个卵圆形或椭圆形。总状花序,腋生,花紫色,通常具5～6朵小花。无限结荚习性。荚果长矩形,密被长硬毛,成熟时呈黑色或黄褐色,种子矩状椭圆形,种皮黑色、酱紫色或铁青色。百粒重9克左右。
