“泔脚”指饭店、宾馆等餐饮业以及企事业单位、学校等公共食堂的食物下料和食物残余,有的地方电称为潲水。 用泔脚作为饲料喂猪在我国许多城市普遍存在,在上海也有很长的历史。但是,从卫生防疫、市容环境等方面考虑,泔脚养猪可能产生后患,为此,2000年5月上海市农委等部门联合发文,要求取缔本市近郊的个体养猪户,中断泔脚作为饲料的消纳途径。由此,泔脚的处置等问题凸现。
