素有“绿海明珠”美誉的云南省普洱市思茅区,全区面积3928千方公里。在这块绿色的土地上,生活着26个民族23.18万群众。全区辖7个乡(镇),60个村民委员会、10个社区居民委员会、712个村民小组,总人口25.55万(2006年)。思茅区是普洱市的政治、经济、文化和交通中心,也是中国通往越南、老挝、缅甸等东南亚国家的水、陆交通要道和重要枢纽。由于地处边疆,民族众多的思茅,点多、线长、面广,人财物流量大;加之近年来城市建设的迅猛发展,思茅城区面积扩大,外来流动人口增加,治安管理难度增大。
Known as “Green Sea Pearl ” reputation of Pu’er City, Yunnan Province, Simao District, the whole area of 3928 square kilometers. On this green land, there are 231,800 people living in 26 ethnic groups. The district administer 7 townships (towns), 60 village committees, 10 community committees, 712 villagers group, with a total population of 255,500 (2006). Simao District is the political, economic, cultural and transportation center of Pu’er and the water and land transportation route and important hub for China to Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar. Because Simao is located in the frontier and has many nationalities, there are many points, long lines, broad areas and large amount of human and material resources. In addition to the rapid urban development in recent years, the urban area of Simao District has expanded and the number of migrants has increased, making it more and more difficult for public security management.
