旅游是一种文化活动。旅游资料的功能是通过对景点的介绍,激发人们旅游的兴趣,因此旅游资料翻译的最终目的就是吸引外国游客并推介文化。根据目的论(Skopostheorie),翻译是一种目的性行为,翻译时,译者应结合翻译的目的和译文读者的特殊情况,从原作所提供的多源信息中进行选择性的翻译。但现存的旅游景点资料的译文存在着许多不同方面的错误,影响了其目的的实现。本文试图从目的论的角度出发,通过分析武汉旅游景点资料中的错误,探讨在翻译旅游景点资料时所应采用的方法。
Tourism is a cultural activity. The function of tourism materials is to stimulate the interest of people through the introduction of scenic spots. Therefore, the ultimate purpose of tourism information translation is to attract foreign tourists and promote culture. According to Skopostheorie, translation is a kind of purposeful behavior. When translating, translators should combine the special purpose of translation and the target readers to perform selective translation from the multi-source information provided by the original. However, there are many different errors in the translation of existing tourist attractions, which has affected the realization of their purpose. This paper attempts to explore the mistakes in the information of Wuhan tourist attractions from the perspective of teleology, and explore the methods that should be used when translating tourist attractions.
