From November 5 to November 30, 1988, Donald Siebel, a specialist in protection technology from the Library of Congress, conducted a lecture activity for nearly a month at the invitation of the College of Archives, Renmin University of China. Mr. Siebel was a Ph.D candidate in physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and philosophy. He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry courses at many universities in the United States for 10 years and has been working in protection technology research and education for more than 20 years. In 1982 the Library of Congress engaged in large-scale literature deacidification research, diethylzinc method deacidification of the main scientists. Mr. Siebel served as President of two American Association of Protection Technicians. National Archives, Central Archives, Beijing Library, China Photo Archive, Sichuan University, Archives of Sichuan Province, Inner Mongolia Archives, Hubei University, Anhui University and other units
