Ancient poetry is one of the important manifestations of Chinese culture and one of the important contents of students in language learning. However, in the current high school Chinese teaching, due to the influence of the traditional teaching methods, the teaching efficiency of ancient poetry is relatively low. Based on this background, this paper explores how to innovate the methods of teaching ancient poetry in Chinese teaching in senior high schools to promote the sustainable development of ancient poetry teaching. Compared with the ancient poems in primary and middle school textbooks, the ancient poems appearing in Chinese textbooks of senior high schools are more difficult to upgrade.
