1925年的“五卅”惨案,激起了上海和全国各地人民的愤怒,掀起了全国规模的反帝爱国运动。呼兰县虽地处祖国东北,但呼兰人民也投入到这股反帝爱国的热潮中。6月上旬,消息传来,呼兰县大街小巷充满了人群,各个无不义愤填膺。很多学生奔走联络,深入工商各界宣传鼓动,一些爱国的群众团体也迅速建立起来。在模范小学进步教师郑洪宸和在北京朝阳大学就读的刘贵、北京师大就读的刘粹文的策动下,经县中学学生王文魁、常武明和县立模范小学学生张兰生、张克明、滕永庆的发起,成立了“呼兰县学生联合会”。由呼兰教育局长王鸿思发起,成立了“呼兰县沪难后援会”。在沪难后援会和学生联合会的领导下,学生教师走上街头,宣传“五卅”运动经过,散发传单,举行集会,发表演说以及开展募捐活动,以实际行动声援上海工人学生的斗争。6月19日,呼兰县学生联合会发表宣言,号召人
