新编高中语文第三册参考书,对《五(?)》一文中的“今之县令,一日身死,子孙累世(?)驾,故人重之”一句是这样翻译的:“今天的县令,一旦本人死了,(他的)子孙们几代都乘车(而行),旧时相识者也都很敬重他们。”其中将“故人重之”译作“旧时相识者也都很敬重他们”,我认为这样翻译不妥当。要正确地翻译“故人重之”,首先要理解“故人”两字的意义。《参考书》将“故人”两字译为“旧时相识者”,显然将它当作一个双音的合成词来处理了,这样处理忽略了作品的时代性,“故人”两字以双音合成词来使用,最早约见于汉代作
