孔子是我国古代的教育家,他在学生眼里的形象是怎么样的?我读《论语》时,找到了答案:“子温而厉,威而不猛,恭而安。”改写为现代汉语是:孔子温和而又严厉,有威信而不凶恶,谦恭而带安详。这就是孔子给学生的印象,也是学生对老师的评价。正因为孔子是个平易近人的教育家,才能够和学生打成一片,消除了师生间的隔阂。这是二千多年前的事了,现在当个教师应该怎么样呢?我记起一九八四年十月底,全国闻名的特级教师斯霞从南京到广州讲学,她给人们的印象是温文雅尔,和霭可亲,没有架子,讲话很有艺术性。我听她讲《怎样做一个人民教师》,知道她有一个很重要的教育思想,就是非常热爱学生。

What should teachers be like now? I remember that at the end of October 1984, as the famous top teacher in China, Si Xia, gave a lecture from Nanjing to Guangzhou, she gave the impression that Wen yaer, and Margaret relatives, there is no shelf, the speech is very artistic. I heard her say ”how to be a teacher of the people" and know that she has a very important educational thought and that she really loves her students.
