金叶女贞叶色金黄、嫩叶鲜亮,用于布置模纹花坛、大色块组景效果均佳。为了提高金叶女贞的观赏性,可尝试用大叶女贞做砧木,通过嫁接的方法将其培养成球状、云片状、层状分布,栽植在绿地花坛或道路两旁。嫁接时间春秋两季是嫁接的最佳季节。春接3～4月树液开始流动时,从嫁接到成活时间最短,且成活率高。可用劈接、切接、腹接、皮下接。皮下接速度快,成活率高,是近年苗圃常用的嫁接方法。
