本文通过许多事例说明在某些实际问题中若能对所考虑的对象赋于某种排列顺序,则对问题的解决常常是有益的。文中的例子还展现了若干种排序手法和通过考察处于某种排序的极端位置元素状态的研究来解决问题的思考方法。
This article illustrates through many examples that in some practical problems it is often useful to solve problems if they can be given an ordering of the objects under consideration. The examples in this article also show several sorting techniques and ways of thinking about solving problems by examining the state of the elements in a certain sort of extreme position.
