西德为进一步提高豹I坦克的战斗力,研制了新型火控系统,对豹IA1、A2、A3坦克进行补充装备。由西德通用无线电公司、克虏伯·阿特拉斯电子公司和蔡司公司各自研制一套火控系统参加竞争。自1982年11月始在西德进行了一系列试验,预计,从1986年始将有2100辆豹I坦克装上带有热像仪的新型火控系统。在这次改装中,重点放在改进测距方法上,以此来提高坦克的首发命中率。问题是将光学测距和激光测距分开使用,还是能最佳地将两者结合使用,以便提高战斗力极限(见图1、图2、图3)。
West Germany to further improve the combat effectiveness of Leopard I tanks, developed a new fire control system, the leopard IA1, A2, A3 tank to be equipped with. Composed of competing fire control systems developed by West Germany General Radio, Krupp Atlas Electronics and Zeiss, respectively. A series of tests have been conducted in West Germany since November 1982 and it is estimated that 2,100 Leopard I tanks will be fitted with a new fire control system with a thermal imager starting in 1986. In this modified, the focus on improving the range method, in order to improve the tank’s first hit rate. The question is whether optical ranging and laser ranging should be used separately, or whether the combination of the two can best be used in order to increase combat effectiveness (see Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3).
