荣炳中心小学是一所以烈士英名命名的乡村学校,学校秉承“创设优良环境,促使师生共同发展”的办学理念,以“求真、尚美”为校训,狠抓“三风”建设,积极走科研兴教之路。近几年以来,学校加大教育现代化建设投入,功能室配备齐全,并且正充分发挥其功能作用。少先队工作是学校一道亮丽的风景线。学校积极开展“光辉的旗帜”“文明美德伴我成长”等主题教育活动,促进儿童良好习惯的养成。成功承办市《少先队工作纲要》推进会。学校先后获镇江市少年儿童工作先进单位、江苏省“手拉手”先进集体、“江苏省红旗大队”“全国红旗大队”、全国少先队“创新杯”活动“百佳奖”。
