Objective: To understand the current status of mental health of residents in Sanya City, to provide a scientific basis for their mental and physical health. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the mental health status of 498 residents in three districts of Sanya (Haitang Bay, Lai Chi Gou and Hedong Hexi). Results: The SCL-90 score of 498 residents surveyed was (111.07 ± 29.68) points, with 6% of the residents having poor mental health status. There was no significant difference in SCL-90 total score between different sexes and among different age groups. Whether the impoverished residents in impoverished mental health status were poorer mental health status (F = 8.443, P = 0.004); between disease prevalence in the mental health of mental health illness less difference (F = 4.591, P = 0.033); whether patients with mental illness in the family for three generations SCL-90 total score and factor scores were statistically different Significance (P <0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the factors that entered the regression equation were self-perceived health status, family history of three generations of mental illness, whether the life was monotonous, poor or low-income families and education level. According to the standard regression coefficient, the most influential factors were self-perceived health status (β = 0.290), followed by family history of three generations of mental illness (β = 0.136). Conclusion: Sanya City residents mental health is not optimistic, residents of mental health affect their quality of life, it should take the necessary measures for its effects to give them a certain psychological literacy, promote their physical and mental health.
