In recent years, the domestic academic community has paid more and more attention to the research of the early modern capitalist markets in Western Europe. However, since the early modern markets in Western Europe had a direct transfer relationship with the former modern medieval markets, the research on the markets in early and modern times dates back to the market in the near future. In fact, research on the Middle Ages in the West has been conducted in the context of business history and economic history. Since the late 19th century, the study of medieval business and market in western academia has generally undergone an academic development history dominated by the theory of “long-distance trade”, the theory of “internal root causes” and then the theory of “commercialization.” Here we mainly make a brief comment on the main line of the British study.
