《尚书·禹贡》中载有“泗滨浮磬”。其中“泗滨”和“磬”字都比较容易解释,“浮”字解释起来就比较困难。 《尚书正义》的解释是:“泗水旁山而过,石为泗水之涯石。在水旁、水中见石,似若水中浮然,此石可以为磬,故谓之浮磬也。”’说的很清楚,为什么称“浮”呢?是因为“水旁、水中”的石头,“若水中浮然”,即象在水中漂浮。这种解释十分牵强,即便是清沏见底的河流,“涯石”映在水中,只能象似水底之石,根本不会象石漂浮于水面;“水中”见石,只能清晰可见,也不会有“浮然”的感觉。远古时期,人们发现并记寻了泗滨磬石,仅用了精练的“泗滨浮磬’四字。如果
