颜色词的基本象征意义是一个民族文化积累的产物。人类文化存在着共性,受其相互渗透、趋同的影响,不同民族常常会赋予某一种颜色词以相同的基本象征意义。但在不同的文化历史背景、宗教信仰、思维方式、审美观和生活环境等因素的影响下,颜色词的内涵又有很大的差异。从中西文化对比的角度去分析颜色词的基本象征意义的异同,更有助于我们的深入理解,从而促进言语交际的顺利进行。
The basic symbolic meaning of color words is a product of the accumulation of national culture. There are commonities in human culture. Influenced by their mutual penetration and convergence, different ethnic groups often give a certain kind of color words the same basic symbolic meanings. However, under the influence of different cultural and historical backgrounds, religious beliefs, ways of thinking, aesthetic standards and living environment, the connotations of color words are quite different. Analyzing the similarities and differences between the basic symbolic meanings of color words from the perspective of cultural contrast between China and the West will help us to further understand and promote the smooth progress of speech communication.
