In the 14th-17th century, 10 representative Protestant Bible translations in England took Luther’s thought on religious reform as a guideline. Influenced by the historical and intellectual conditions in England at the time, the translated version of the Bible presented the secularization and intellectual secularization tendency. The ways to achieve this include: returning to the original, emphasizing literal meaning; questioning priest translation qualifications; demonstrating human autonomy and advocating secular life; advocating translation of national languages; supporting the monarchy; and demonstrating British native social life. English translation The secularization of the Bible is intertwined with various power struggles and is an important means of anti-cynicalism for the emerging social strata and an important part of Britain’s modernization.
