乌尔姆探索用科学的设计方法,改变以往从艺术中寻求问题解决方案的旧有方法。通过分析乌尔姆将科学、技术与设计相结合的新模式,以及对抽象的设计方法过度崇拜的原因,笔者指出乌尔姆设计“方法”的困境:首先是没有区分科学方法与设计方法在目标问题上的差异;其次过于重视设计过程的逻辑推导,并曾走向对方法的崇拜。产生这些现象的原因,主要是受二战后德国重建时期务实的态度、科学技术不断应用于设计领域和追求简洁实用的设计观影响。“方法”的困境,实则体现为一种基于实证的实践哲学而不是实践活动本身。
Ulm explores the old ways of finding solutions to problems in the arts by using scientific methods of design. By analyzing Ulm’s new model of integrating science, technology and design, and the reasons for excessive worship of abstract design methods, I point out the dilemma of Ulm’s design “method ”: first, there is no distinction between scientific methods and design Method differences in the goal of the problem; followed by too much emphasis on the logical derivation of the design process, and has been to the worship of the method. The reasons for these phenomena are mainly due to the pragmatic attitude during the German reconstruction after World War II, the continuous application of science and technology in the design field and the pursuit of concise and practical design concept. “Method ” predicament, but it is actually reflected in an empirical philosophy based on practice rather than the practice itself.
