三百年前,郑板桥呱呱坠地于江苏兴化城汪头。现故居在城东门外郑家桥9号。此屋郑板桥出生后原为草屋,为官后改为砖木结构房子。1983年10月地方政府按原样修复。穿过曲折迂回乱石铺就的小巷,来到板桥故居的门前,这是一座普通的旧式四合院民居。门楣上挂着赵朴初题写的匾额:“郑板桥故居”。进入门堂,北门楣上是刘海粟题写的横匾:“郑燮故居”。在这里郑板桥度过了他的青少年时代。
